Gunnedah TAFE Upgrades Complete

We’re very excited to announce that the $3.36 million upgrade of Gunnedah TAFE is now complete. Our very own Glenn Many joined Minister Geoff Lee and representatives from the Gunnedah chamber of commerce to cut the red tape!

The impressive upgrades are designed to improve the ability for the TAFE to train students in a range of skills including agriculture and mining. The new state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facilities include:

  • a multi-trades workshop
  • digitally-connected learning spaces
  • specialist light automotive workshop

A new pre-apprenticeship course, helping young people learn foundation and employability skills was also launched at the opening.

“What we know is, once you give people the right skills, they can get not just the job, but a rewarding career.”

– Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee

There are 15 local young people already enrolled in the pre-apprenticeship course and more have been added to a waiting list.
